~See, this is my opinion:  we all start out knowing magic. We are born with whirlwinds, forest fires, and comets inside us. We are born able to sing to birds and read the clouds and see our destiny in grains of sand. But then we get the magic educated right out of our souls. We get it churched out, spanked out, washed out, and combed out. We get put on the straight and narrow and told to be responsible. Told to act our age. Told to grow up, for God's sake. And you know why we were told that? Because the people doing the telling were afraid of our wildness and youth, and because the magic we knew made them ashamed and sad of what they'd allowe

Just signed up for another project on the Art House Co-op site (The same people who brought us The Sketchbook Project). This one is the "4x6 Exchange 2" and basically calls for creating a 4"x6" artwork and mailing it along with a USPS self addressed stamped envelope. It's open to artists across the globe. Art House will exchange the piece you send them with another artist's work! It's a surprise as to what you'll receive for your part of this 'trade'! Oh, and it's FREE to sign up (other than the cost of mailing your art & the SASE)! Sign ups are open for a total of 2000 participants.  I just signed up today and there were over 1200 openings

Just a quick thank you for the support and kindness! Nimmy came home around 1:00am this morning, crying and starving! She possibly got stuck in someone's garage or shed, or wandered or was chased farther than she's gone before. I'm just happy to have this shy little girl back where she belongs! BIG sigh of relief here!
